About the Artwork
A faceless bronze-toned figure sinks into a slow, deep forward lunge on a weathered wooden deck, hands resting on the front knee and the back leg stretched long. Behind him a calm lake runs out in teal and pale aqua toward a low line of distant trees, under a sky of cream, sand and soft blue.
Garrett Sommers built this piece with a palette knife, laying the paint on thick so every ridge catches light. The deck boards carry streaks of tan, ochre and a few flashes of burnt orange, and the figure's shadow stretches across them in cool blue. It reads as patience and effort at the same time, which is why it works so well as 24x36 canvas art for people who move for a living or for their recovery.
It's a natural fit as physical therapy wall art, and it suits anyone who practices stretching or yoga and wants a yoga pose wall art piece that feels quiet rather than staged. Clinicians looking for therapy office wall art will find it steady and encouraging without words.
Hang it in a treatment room, a studio entry or above a reception bench where clients sit and wait. As large canvas wall art, it fills a wall with soft, calm wall art color and gives the eye somewhere peaceful to rest.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
One rule: once a ridge is down, I leave it raw. Years as a bicycle mechanic got me thinking in parts locking into place, and paintings work the same way. From a shared warehouse studio in Northeast Minneapolis, near the river, I make bridges, grain elevators and snowy streets from knife-laid oil. Warm brick meets cold blue shadow.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
