About Lily

Lily Whitmore once bound leather-covered journals for a living and sketched the animals seen on lunch breaks at the bindery. Those quick drawings of sparrows and stray cats became the first paintings in 2016, and animals have been the focus since. Whitmore holds a BFA from the University of Arizona and works in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Impressionism with a bold, playful palette defines the work. The one canvas in our shop so far is a calico cat with yellow-green eyes, painted in orange and blue stripes over a rainbow gradient. The cat stares straight out of the frame with plenty of attitude. Find it below, printed on matte canvas, stretched over solid wood and ready to hang.
