About the Artwork
This is the eight seconds every rodeo fan holds their breath for. Ignacio Barrera paints a bronc rider thrown high off the saddle, his free arm flung to the sky and his hat sailing loose behind him. The horse arches hard beneath him, hind legs kicked up, front hooves driving into a spray of arena dirt.
The color is what makes it. The horse is built from violet, cobalt and hot magenta, a true western art prints centerpiece that turns a classic rodeo scene into a colorful horse painting. Thick palette-knife strokes of mustard, sky blue and orange streak across the background, so the whole canvas feels like it is moving with the ride.
It suits anyone who grew up around arenas and chutes, and anyone who likes abstract western art with real energy behind it. The orange shirt, teal jeans and worn leather tack keep it grounded in the cowboy tradition while the brushwork stays loose and modern.
As canvas wall art, it holds its own over a sofa, a sideboard or a stone fireplace, and it works well as large western wall art in a den, a ranch-house entry or an office that needs a jolt of color.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I paint in a courtyard studio in Puebla, a short walk from the old market. Mixing dyes in a textile factory taught me how pigment shifts with heat, time and the fabric beneath it. My expressive canvases begin in deep shadow, and I charge them with blue, magenta and orange poured and brushed wet into wet, letting colors bleed before I pull them back.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
