Three Ceramic Vases on a Walnut Sideboard - Canvas Wall Art

Three pieces of pottery share the top of a low walnut sideboard: a tall teal bottle with a narrow neck, a round-bellied vase in mustard yellow, and a squat clay bowl glazed in rust. Curtis Bramlett painted them with quick, confident strokes, letting the brush marks show in the wood grain and in the soft highlights on each glaze. This three ceramic vases painting is a quiet, well-balanced piece of mid century modern art.

Behind the group, an olive arch is brushed loosely onto a cream wall, framing the vases like a niche. The tapered legs, the long drawer fronts and the warm brown of the cabinet give it the feel of the mid century modern paintings you find in old design magazines, a true mid century still life painting with nothing extra in the scene.

It suits anyone who collects pottery, loves a good credenza, or is building out mid century modern home decor one piece at a time. If you are drawn to earth tone wall art, the mix of olive, teal, mustard and clay sits easily beside walnut furniture and woven textiles. It pairs nicely with other mid century modern prints in a gallery grouping, too.

Hang this canvas wall art above a real sideboard in the dining room, over a sofa, or in an entry where it can greet guests. It works as olive green wall art for a calm, grounded room, or as burnt orange wall art for a warm accent, and it fits right in with any mid century wall decor.
