About the Artwork
Two saguaros stand side by side on a flat stretch of desert, one tall and one shorter, like an old pair who don't need to talk. Todd Ferguson keeps them simple: slender rounded trunks, a couple of upturned arms, soft olive green ridged with darker strokes. Above them hangs a big mustard sun disc, and off to the right a long boomerang-shaped mesa sits low on the horizon.
This is southwest wall art painted in a mid-century way, with thick, visible brushwork in a cream sky and a ground of burnt orange laid down in broad horizontal swipes. The palette is small and warm, and the shapes are pared back, so it reads as cactus wall art with the calm of a vintage travel poster rather than a busy desert scene.
It's for anyone who loves the open Southwest, collects desert wall art, or wants modern southwest art that feels relaxed and a little retro. It suits a fan of clean lines as much as someone who grew up around saguaros and mesas.
Hang this canvas wall art over a sofa, a bed, or a console in an entry where its cream and rust tones can warm up the room. It pairs well with leather, wood, clay pots, and woven textiles, and it holds its own on a plain white wall.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
My studio is a cinderblock shed behind my house in Phoenix, where the light is strong enough to test any colour. I spent fifteen years painting cars at a body shop, which taught me patience with surfaces and a love for the curves of old Chevys and diners. I paint mid-century scenes and abstracts in bold mustard, turquoise and burnt orange, flat shapes with the brush texture left in.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
