About the Artwork
This sleeping bear dunes painting catches the bluffs the way they look early in the day. Long pale slopes drop steeply to a thin curve of beach, and the clear turquoise shallows of Lake Michigan fade into soft blue farther out. Anouk Delmas lays the sand in short streaks of cream, tan and lilac shadow, so the whole hillside seems to slide toward the water.
In the foreground, clumps of wind-bent beach grass stand on a low sandy rise, painted in loose upward strokes with flecks of rust, slate and green tucked into the stems. Above it all, the sky is a pale blue scattered with dabs of peach and cream. It's a quiet, airy take on a pastel landscape painting, more about light and texture than detail.
It's made for anyone who has climbed those dunes, spent summers up north, or simply wants a Great Lakes painting that feels calm and familiar. A thoughtful gift for a Michigan family or someone who just came back from a trip to Glen Arbor.
As canvas wall art, it settles easily into a living room, a bedroom or a sunny hallway, and it fits right in as lake house wall art or coastal wall decor where sand, cream and soft aqua tones already live.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I live and paint in Biarritz, in a bright room above a bakery near the old port. I worked for years as a textile restorer, which trained my eye for faded, gentle colour. My paintings are calm Atlantic beaches, lavender fields and quiet terraces, built with soft brushwork and a few touches of the knife so the light feels hazy and warm.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
