About the Artwork

Eric Thornton kept this one quiet on purpose. A single long eucalyptus stem drops in from the top edge, each leaf laid down in a soft grey-green with thin veins scratched through the paint. Far below, Sleep Tight is hand-brushed in muted charcoal, loose and a little uneven, the way a note left on a pillow should look. Between them sits a wide stretch of textured cream ground, palette-knife marks and all.

As quote canvas wall art, it says just enough. The sage green wall art feel of the leaves and the warm plaster-like background make it eucalyptus wall art first and a sign second, so it reads as a painting rather than a slogan.

It's made for hosts who want visitors to feel settled the moment they drop their bags. If you're pulling together guest bedroom decor, or adding a be our guest wall art piece to a set from this collection, this one sets a calm tone without trying too hard.

Hang it as above bed wall art over a linen headboard, or on a nightstand wall where the lettering sits at eye level. The muted palette works as calming bedroom wall art and as cream wall art in a soft, neutral room. Each piece is printed as stretched canvas wall art, so this canvas wall art is ready to hang straight out of the box.

My rule is small: quiet the wall, never fill it. That habit comes from eight years as a cabinetmaker, sanding until nothing extra remains. Above a frame shop in northeast Minneapolis, winter snow does half my thinking. In matte acrylic, two or three soft blocks of birch, ash and fog meet along one careful edge. The rest stays bare.
