About the Artwork

This sheep skipped a few shearing appointments, and it shows. Elias Granger painted its fleece as one enormous round puff, built from hundreds of curly brushstrokes in golden ochre, soft lilac and deep green. A calm, slightly smug face peeks out of the middle, and four thin legs hold the whole thing up on a teal floor.

The coral background is flat and warm, which lets the busy, swirling wool take over. Thin dark outlines and a loose shadow under the hooves give it that contemporary pop art feel, part illustration, part painting. It's quirky wall decor with real brushwork you can see up close.

It's for anyone who likes whimsical animal wall art that makes people smile without trying too hard. Farm animal fans, knitters, and anyone who has ever had a bad hair day will get it right away. As colorful animal wall art, it brings a cheerful mix of tones that works in many palettes.

Hang this canvas wall art in a bathroom as funny bathroom wall art, or put it over a sofa as funny living room wall art where guests will notice it. It also suits a kid's room, a hallway, or a cozy reading corner.

After my divorce in 2018, I moved back to Birmingham and rented a garage behind my sister's house. What started as weekend experiments with color became something I couldn't stop doing. Banking felt like a different lifetime.
