About the Artwork

A single fan palm rises straight up beside a little pink casita, its gray trunk ticked with short brush marks and its crown opening into round green and teal fans. Amanda Kerr keeps everything simple and rounded: a rust clay roof, a turquoise door, a pale sun ring sitting quietly in a butter yellow sky. The paint stays thick and visible, with swirls in the sky that feel like desert heat.

This is palm springs wall art with a mid-century heart. The shapes are flat and friendly, the colors sun-washed, and the dark stripe of the palm's shadow across the wall gives the whole scene its afternoon stillness. Small agaves and round stones at the base finish the yard.

It suits anyone who loves desert modern homes, road trips to the Coachella Valley, or canvas wall art that feels calm instead of loud. As palm tree canvas art, it brings the easy warmth of tropical home decor without leaning on beach clichés.

Hang it in a sunny living room, above a rattan console, or in an entry that needs a bit of summer wall art all year long. It pairs well with white walls, warm wood, terracotta pots and woven textures.

One rule: the brush texture stays in. Every stroke of turquoise, tangerine and lemon goes down flat and confident, and I leave it alone. The low rooflines outside my breezeway studio in Palm Springs feed the palm fronds, pools and kidney-shaped forms I paint. Staging homes for sale proved one bold piece can wake up a whole room.
