About the Artwork
One slender walnut stem climbs the canvas, carrying almond leaves in avocado, burnt tangerine and deep teal. Off to the side sits a single sunflower-yellow circle, a quiet mustard sun. Jeff Dawson painted each leaf in flat, even color with a faint center vein and a fine stitched edge, then left swirling brush marks in the cream ground so the surface feels handmade.
This is mid century modern paintings at its simplest. The shapes are clean enough to read as mid century modern abstract art, and the palette leans into earth tone abstract wall art, with that orange leaf giving a soft nod to terracotta abstract wall art without taking over the piece.
It suits anyone who likes a calm, uncluttered wall: fans of teak sideboards and vintage ceramics, people who want mustard yellow wall art that stays subtle, or anyone looking for minimalist abstract canvas art that still has warmth. It works well as mid century modern canvas art for a first home or as a gift for a plant lover.
Hang this canvas wall art above a low credenza, in a reading nook, or beside a hallway console where the tall stem draws the eye upward. Pair it with other mid century geometric wall art from the collection for a relaxed gallery wall.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I paint in an old warehouse loft in Kansas City's West Bottoms. Restoring walnut credenzas and teak chairs for a decade taught me the proportions of mid-century design from the inside out. On canvas I chase that same spirit with punchy burnt orange, deep teal and sunflower yellow, layering flat geometric planes and letting the bristles leave their tracks.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
