Holy Family Wall Art of the Bethlehem Stable - Canvas Wall Art

A small wooden stable sits on a pale limestone slope outside Bethlehem, its thatched roof catching the glow of a single bright star. Inside, Mary in her soft blue mantle and Joseph in a worn brown cloak kneel on either side of the Child, who rests in a manger heaped with golden straw. Carmen Aguilar keeps the figures small and gentle, letting the quiet of the night do the talking.

This holy family wall art is painted in Carmen's soft contemporary impressionism. Short, open brushstrokes of cream, dusty blue and blush pink build the sky and hills, and the flat-roofed houses of the town fade into the distance. It reads as a nativity scene painting with the stillness of an early winter morning rather than the drama of a pageant.

It's a good fit for anyone who wants religious Christmas decor that feels calm and grown-up, and it makes a thoughtful gift for a parent, grandparent or pastor. As a holy family canvas, it also works well beyond December for families who keep faith on their walls all year.

Hang this canvas wall art above a fireplace mantel, in an entryway where guests come in from the cold, or over a sideboard in the dining room. The pale, muted palette sits easily with neutral, farmhouse and traditional rooms alike, and it pairs naturally with other Christmas art prints from the Nativity collection.
