About the Artwork
A single long sprig of seeded eucalyptus drops in from the top of the canvas and just hangs there in still air. Eric Thornton painted each slender leaf in a muted gray-green, with fine pale veins and a few spots where the paint wears thin to the ground below. Small clusters of tan seed pods dangle along the stem, built up so they sit slightly raised on the surface.
The background is a soft cream, brushed and scraped like old plaster, fading to a warmer sand near the bottom. Most of the canvas is left open, and that negative space art approach is what makes this eucalyptus sprig painting feel so calm. The worn edges and quiet imperfections give it a wabi sabi wall art character without trying too hard.
It suits anyone who likes a room that breathes, whether your taste runs toward japandi wall art, nordic wall art, or simply beige wall art that pairs with linen, oak, and stone. If you want zen wall art that rests the eye instead of grabbing it, this one does the job.
Hang it above a nightstand as minimalist bedroom wall art, or put it over a desk as home office wall decor where a little stillness helps. As neutral canvas wall art, it blends easily with cream wall art and soft whites already in the room.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
My studio sits above a frame shop in northeast Minneapolis, and in winter the snow outside does half my thinking for me. Eight years as a cabinetmaker taught me to sand until nothing extra remains. I paint matte acrylic in birch, ash and fog tones, letting two or three soft blocks of colour meet along one careful edge, then leaving the rest of the canvas alone.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
