About the Artwork

This sloth has found the best seat in the house, which happens to be your shower curtain rod. Elias Granger painted a three-toed sloth hanging upside down by its long claws, perfectly calm, gazing out with that sleepy little smile. The fur is built from quick, layered strokes of tan, cream, chocolate brown and a few streaks of green, the way real sloth fur picks up a hint of moss.

Below it, the curtain falls in loose, painterly folds of turquoise and aqua, set against flat blocks of coral orange and lilac. The chrome rod and rings are painted crisply, giving the scene a clean, graphic edge. It is contemporary pop art with a sense of humor, and a fun bathroom wall art piece that never takes itself too seriously.

It suits anyone who loves slow mornings, animal lovers who like a joke, and families who want bathroom wall decor that makes guests grin. As bathroom canvas wall art, it also makes an easy gift for a friend who has just moved into a new place.

Hang it beside the shower, above the towel bar, or as powder room wall art where visitors will spot it right away. The turquoise and lilac tones sit well with white tile and modern bathroom wall art schemes alike. Printed as canvas wall art for Jessie's Home, it brings color and calm to the smallest room.

After my divorce in 2018, I moved back to Birmingham and rented a garage behind my sister's house. What started as weekend experiments with color became something I couldn't stop doing. Banking felt like a different lifetime.
