About the Artwork
This driftwood painting by Javier Delgado centers on a single weathered stump, half sunk into a pale beach, its tangled roots reaching up and out like it's still holding on to something. The wood is bleached to a soft grey, pocked with dark knots, and the sand curls around its base in smooth, thick strokes of cream and warm white.
Behind it, the sea and sky fade into the same misty grey, with only a few faint lines of surf to mark the horizon. Delgado keeps the palette to soft black and white tones, letting the texture of the paint do the talking. You can see the knife marks in the sand and the fine, wiry lines in the roots.
It's for anyone who loves the quiet side of the shore more than the postcard version. If you've been looking for neutral beach wall art that feels calm but still has some grit and character, this one fits. It also pairs easily with other black and white beach wall art or modern coastal wall art you already have.
As canvas wall art, it works above a sofa, in a hallway, or as coastal bathroom wall art where the soft greys and sand tones keep things restful. In a bigger size it reads as large neutral canvas art for a bedroom or living room with linen, oak, and stone finishes.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
My studio sits in an old adobe workshop in Albuquerque's South Valley, where winter mornings turn the Sandia Mountains into soft grey shapes. Running a letterpress for a print shop taught me the beauty of ink, paper and restraint. I paint only in warm greys, ivory and chalk white with wide brushes, add a few charcoal accents, and let mist and empty space carry the calm.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
