Christian Wall Decor with an Ancient Olive Tree - Canvas Wall Art

This is christian wall decor built around one old, patient tree. Rebecca Lyons painted a single ancient olive with a massive trunk that twists and splits as it rises, its hollows laid in thick, ridged strokes of taupe, cream and deep shadow. Above it, the silvery crown is only suggested, with soft sweeping marks of sage and pale aqua and fine sprigs of leaves drawn in light paint.

Threads of gold run through the bark and drip down from the branches like light catching on rain. The ground is pale sand and mist, so the tree stands almost alone. It reads as textured, semi-abstract modern religious art, quiet enough to sit with and rich enough to look at up close.

The olive tree carries a long history in Scripture, from the dove's branch to the Mount of Olives, which makes this a fitting piece of faith wall art for anyone who finds rootedness and endurance in their walk. It works well as a gift for a new home, a pastor, or someone who simply loves contemporary christian wall art that doesn't spell everything out.

As spiritual wall art, it suits a calm living room, an entry, a reading corner or a prayer space, pairing easily with linen, warm wood, stone and soft greens. Printed as canvas wall art, it brings the feel of a textured original to any wall where you want peace and steadiness.
