Bison Painting of a Shaggy Bull Face On - Canvas Wall Art

This bison painting puts you nose to nose with a bull who isn't going anywhere. His head hangs low, the heavy mane piles up over his brow, and two short horns curve up and catch the light. His dark eyes look straight out at you, calm and steady.

Colleen Rasmussen built the whole animal with a palette knife. Every stroke of the coat sits on the surface like a small chip of paint, warm tan and chestnut on the crown, deep slate blue in the beard and shoulders. Behind him, broad flat swipes of sage, gray and soft blue keep the background quiet so the fur does the talking. It reads as an american bison painting first and a study in texture second.

It suits anyone who loves the plains, the national parks or a good piece of american wildlife painting. If you have been hunting for bison wall art that feels hand made rather than a tidy photo, or a buffalo painting on canvas with real weight to it, this one fits. It also works as modern buffalo wall art for people who want ranch roots without the old-fashioned look.

Hang this canvas wall art over a leather sofa, a stone fireplace or a wide entry wall where his stare can greet people. The browns and muted greens sit well with wood, iron and wool, making it easy country western wall decor. Compared with a flat bison art print, this buffalo canvas print keeps the feel of those raised knife strokes up close.
