About the Artwork
Low tide has pulled the sea far back, and what's left is a long stretch of wet sand and shallow pools catching the sky. Laura Bishop paints it in loose horizontal bands of tan, pale blue and cream, with thick palette-knife strokes in the clouds and thin, glassy passes where the water lies still. Somewhere behind the cloud cover the sun is hiding, and its only trace is one warm coral reflection spreading across a pool in the foreground.
This abstract beach wall art sits right between a seascape and a field of color. Up close it's all texture and brushwork; from across the room it reads as calm, open space. It's a quiet piece of neutral abstract wall art that still has a pulse, thanks to that single streak of coral.
It's made for people who love the shore in its off hours, the gray mornings and empty flats more than the crowded summer afternoons. If your home leans soft and natural, this modern coastal wall art adds a sense of distance without adding noise.
Hang this canvas wall art above a sofa, a bed or a long console where its wide horizon can stretch out. It works just as well as coastal bathroom wall art in a spa-like bath, picking up linen towels, pale stone and weathered wood.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
I paint in a converted net loft in Portland, Maine, a few steps from the harbor. Years of drawing nautical charts taught me how much a coastline can say with very little line. Now I build fog and water in thin oil layers with a wide brush, then soften the horizon with a palette knife until sea and sky meet in one quiet band.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
