About Trent
Trent Hargrove works out of a warehouse studio in east Nashville, Tennessee, that used to store guitar cases. As a former drywall finisher, he learned to move a blade across a surface with confidence, and that habit shapes every painting. He holds an associate degree in Studio Art from Nashville State Community College.
Working in acrylic impasto with gold leaf, Trent pulls soft layers of translucent color with palette knives, lets thin drips run down the canvas and finishes with gold, so landscapes, horizons and florals appear beneath the texture.
