“After my discharge in 2022, I moved back home and wandered into a Saturday painting class at the community center. The instructor, an older guy named Frank, showed me how color could express what words couldn't. Now I spend most nights in my garage studio working through layers of paint and memory.”

About Rowan

Rowan Keaton left the Marines in 2022 and wandered into a Saturday painting class, where an instructor showed how color can say what words cannot. Keaton, who has also taken community college art classes, now spends most nights in a garage studio in Ann Arbor, Michigan, working through layers of paint and memory.

The style is abstract with an expressionist streak, built on curves, circles and radiating lines. Grey, cream and taupe set a quiet base, and gold accents catch the light. Some pieces glow with flowing yellow ribbons, others with blush pink and charcoal. A white peacock in full display stands apart. These are Keaton’s best sellers, printed on matte canvas over solid wood.
