About Kyle
Kyle Ashworth paints in a shared warehouse studio in Garden City, just outside Boise, Idaho, a short ride from the river where he spent six summers guiding rafts. Those seasons on the water became his real education in light: reading currents every day taught him how sunlight breaks apart, flickers and reassembles on a moving surface. He later earned a BFA in Art from Boise State University, but it’s the guide’s habit of watching water closely that still shapes every canvas he makes.
Working in oil on canvas with large flat brushes, Kyle builds his scenes in loose, layered strokes that blend Impressionism with a distinctly modern palette. He stacks warm coral and lime against cool cobalt, so rivers, landscapes and everyday views feel bright and alive rather than old-fashioned. The energy and color of his work make it a natural fit for sunny living rooms, open kitchens, entryways and home offices that could use a lift, while his softer water scenes bring a calm glow to bedrooms. Below are Ashworth’s canvases in our shop, ready to hang.
