“My studio is a screened porch in Sarasota, Florida, with the Gulf a short bike ride away. I taught high school chemistry for years, and mixing pigments still feels like a lab experiment I enjoy. I paint beaches, citrus groves and flowering courtyards in an impressionist hand, keeping the scenes peaceful while the colour stays bright and sunny.”
Gail Pemberton paints on a screened porch in Sarasota, Florida, with the Gulf a short bike ride away. She taught high school chemistry for years, and mixing pigments still feels like a lab experiment she enjoys. She holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of Florida and took evening painting classes at Ringling College.
Working in oil on canvas with textured brushwork, Gail paints beaches, citrus groves and flowering courtyards in an impressionist hand, keeping the scenes peaceful while the color stays bright and sunny. Her canvases bring a relaxed, coastal feel to a living room, kitchen or sunroom. Below are Pemberton’s canvases in our shop, ready to hang.
