“I paint in a small studio in Denver's RiNo district, a garage door that opens toward the Front Range. Working as a stonemason taught me to respect weight, texture and the shape of a single block. I lay soft warm greys and ivory with broad brushes, press light knife texture into the surface, and add charcoal only where a ridge or a stone needs to anchor the calm.”
