“I paint in a converted carriage house in Charleston, where the summer light is almost too bright to look at. I was a landscape architect for a decade, so I still think about how gardens and marshes are layered. My impressionist scenes keep a calm, airy mood, but I push the colour, letting saturated blues, corals and greens sing through textured brush and knife strokes.”

About Bradley
Bradley Stroud paints in a converted carriage house in Charleston, South Carolina, where the summer light is almost too bright to look at. He was a landscape architect for a decade and still thinks about how gardens and marshes are layered. He holds a BLA in Landscape Architecture from Clemson University.
Working in acrylic and oil with a palette knife, Bradley paints marshes, gardens, coastal views and florals with a calm, airy mood, while pushing the color: saturated blues, corals and greens sing through textured brush and knife strokes. His expressive impressionist canvases brighten a living room, dining room or sunroom. Below are Stroud’s canvases in our shop, ready to hang.
