About the Artwork
Rachel Dunn painted this one from high up on a coastal bluff, looking down at the place where the tide gives up and slides back out. Thin, lacy lines of foam wash over wide wet sand, and the shallow water, the haze and the shore all melt into soft bands of blush, cream and dusty blue.
It's soft abstract wall art that still reads as a real beach. Her brushwork stays loose and layered, with dragged strokes in the sand and quick white flicks along the breaking waves. Up close it turns into texture and color. From across the room it settles into a quiet, open shoreline.
This is for anyone who wants neutral abstract wall art with a little warmth in it, the kind of zen wall art that slows a room down instead of shouting. It suits people who love the coast but don't want anchors and seashells on every wall.
Hang it as wall art for living room spaces above a linen sofa, or as wall art for bedroom walls where you want something calm to wake up to. The tall format works well in a hallway or beside a window, and as modern canvas wall art it pairs easily with white oak, pale plaster and soft textiles.

Materials & Craft
Printed and hand-stretched in the USA, then shipped ready to hang.
Oil and gesso go onto raw canvas with a palette knife pressed flat, so the weave shows through the haze. Dusty blue, blush and warm cream follow in soft horizontal sweeps. Textile design proved to me how a few muted colors can carry a whole room. At night, from my backyard studio in Santa Barbara, I hear the surf.
This canvas exceeded my expectations. The lion and its reflection are beautifully captured, and the quality of the print is superb. It adds a strong, motivational vibe to my room. I get compliments on it all the time!
Thrilled with the quality, the colors and the prompt delivery. Very impressed with this beautiful artwork! Just what this space needed! Will definitely do business with this company again! My clients loved it!! Thank you!!
