What I leave out of a scene goes black. Nightclub lighting design proved that hot color pops when everything around it disappears. Deep blacks go down first, then I scrape hot pink, teal and acid yellow over them with squeegees and old credit cards. People are my main subject. I work in a Baltimore rowhouse basement with one alley window.
