About Weston

Long overnight freight runs through Montana gave Weston Clarke years to think about space and emptiness. In 2019 the former train conductor left the railroad, wanting nothing more than to paint those wide-open landscapes. Clarke holds a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin and works today in Portland, Oregon.

Clarke’s style is abstract and minimal. Pastel facades in peach, lavender and mint line Charleston’s Rainbow Row. The stacked concrete modules of Habitat 67 jut out at angles in Montreal, and a sea turtle glides through sunlit water off Hilton Head Island. Below you’ll find the artist’s most-loved canvases, printed on matte canvas, stretched over solid wood and ready to hang.
