“I paint in a converted carport in Albuquerque, where the afternoon light turns the walls the color of my palette. Years as a court interpreter taught me that meaning lives in small shifts of tone, and I listen for those same shifts between terracotta and dusty sage. I lay soft, loose shapes on warm cream and let each one rest beside the next like a calm conversation.”
