“My studio is a whitewashed room in Aarhus with a long view over the bay. Weaving wool textiles for many years taught me to think in layers, rhythm and quiet surfaces. I paint in chalk white, ivory and soft greys with wide brushes, add gentle palette-knife texture, and place a few charcoal lines where a shoreline or a tree might be, leaving plenty of air around them.”
