“I paint in a backyard studio in East Austin with a fan running nine months of the year. Pulling screen prints for concert posters taught me bold shapes, tight registration and when to let a mistake stay. I start with a scratchy grey base, then stencil musicians, cacti and city signs in electric colour, adding overspray and drips that keep the surface raw.”
