Kara Donovan
“My studio is a basement under a Baltimore rowhouse, walls crusted with old paste. Hanging posters overnight taught me how fast images layer, tear and fight for attention. I glue and spray in turns: magenta shapes, lemon text fragments, ultramarine stencils, then I rip some back and spray again, like a cement wall after a busy month.”
