“I paint in a converted net loft in Mystic, Connecticut, a short walk from the river. Years as a museum lighting technician taught me how one warm source can change an entire cool room. My canvases start as thin washes of fog blue and sailcloth cream, layered until the edges dissolve, and then I let a single coral glow settle where the eye wants to rest.”
