“Recording live jazz sessions in smoky clubs taught me how to catch moments before they disappear. The way afternoon light hits Spanish moss in Charleston reminds me of those dimly lit venues where every note mattered.”

About Jasper

Jasper Monroe paints in Charleston, South Carolina, after years as a sound engineer recording live jazz in smoky clubs. Those nights showed how quickly a good moment slips away, and the afternoon light on Charleston’s Spanish moss still recalls those dim rooms. Monroe holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Monroe works in an impressionist style, with textured brushwork in terracotta, orange and soft blue. The best sellers travel widely: a turquoise door on a Santa Fe adobe, Sedona’s red rocks in late light, a lone cabin in snowy Vail and the glowing Bisbee hills. Scroll down for the artist’s most popular canvases, printed on matte canvas and stretched over solid wood.
