“Working with four-year-olds taught me to see colors the way kids do - pure and unfiltered. After seven years in early childhood education, I started painting seriously in 2011. My watercolors try to capture that same sense of wonder and spontaneity I saw in my students' artwork every day.”

About Ivy

Ivy Winslow learned to see color through the eyes of four-year-olds. Seven years as a preschool teacher showed Winslow how fresh and direct a child’s sense of color can be, and serious painting followed in 2011. Today the artist works in Eugene, Oregon, with a BFA from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Winslow’s style blends watercolor softness with expressionist color and a sense of wonder. Waterfalls are a recurring theme, from Niagara Falls glowing pink and gold to Falls Park on the Reedy River in Greenville. Rain-washed Crescent Street in Montreal and the red sand shores of Prince Edward Island appear as well. The canvases below are the shop’s most popular Winslow pieces, all ready to hang.
