“I paint in a brick warehouse studio in Cleveland where I can control every lamp in the room. Working as a forensic photographer taught me to read shadow as information, not decoration. My canvases move from carbon black through warm and cool greys to chalky ivory, and I push the light-dark contrast hard so each form reads from across a room.”
