Elias Corbin, a former album cover designer, spent twelve years in the music industry learning how shape and color can move people without words. In 2008, Corbin began making geometric pieces of a more personal kind, pairing a commercial designer’s precision with a looser, intuitive side. The artist holds an MFA from CalArts and is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Spirals, concentric circles and sweeping waves define Corbin’s abstract, geometric style. Favorites include a blue and gold swirl spinning from a bright center, pink spirals from blush to magenta, gold-outlined shapes like river stones on grey and white, and a teal and green vortex.
