“I paint in a cinder-block garage on the east bench of Salt Lake City, with the Wasatch out the window. Running a ski lift taught me to watch light change on snow and to keep moving in the cold. I roll down a gritty grey base, then spray bright turquoise, sun yellow and coral in quick passes, letting drips and overspray stay part of the story.”
