Daan Visser
“I paint in a shared studio in Scheveningen, The Hague, a short walk from the North Sea dunes. Working as a meteorology assistant taught me to read clouds as layers of moisture and light. I start with thinned slate grey, add cream and pale blush in broad strokes, then drag the horizon with a palette knife until it almost disappears, keeping wide open space above.”
