Artist
Chris Donnelly
“I paint in a row-house basement in South Philly that I gutted and rebuilt myself. Years of carpentry taught me to plan the layers and build from the ground up. Each canvas gets a rough coat of grey texture, then cut-paper stencils, bold bursts of spray and drips I let run to the edge, until the piece feels like a wall I just walked past.”
