“Working in publishing for five years taught me how images could tell stories without words. When I moved back to Montmartre in 2019, I started translating that visual storytelling into abstract landscapes that blur the line between memory and place.”

About Chloe

Chloe Dubois works in the Montmartre neighborhood of Paris, France, after five years designing book covers. That job showed Dubois how an image can tell a story without a single word. The artist, who trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, returned to Montmartre in 2019 and now turns that storytelling into scenes that sit between memory and place.

Dubois mixes impressionism with abstract layering, in blues, browns, silvers and beiges. Bridges and landmarks across Europe fill the collection: the red steel lattice of the Forth Bridge, Lisbon’s 25 de Abril Bridge over the Tagus, the Gothic spires of Milan’s Duomo and the white curves of Valencia’s Oceanografic.
