Brooks Camden spent three years as a music producer in Nashville recording studios, where stacking tracks taught lessons that now apply to stacking paint. A move back to Memphis, Tennessee, in 2022 brought the city’s blues history closer, and it shows in the artist’s color choices. Camden holds a BFA from the University of Washington.

Camden blends impressionism and expressionism, often pairing deep blues and grays with warm accents. Popular subjects include Miami’s skyline glowing behind palms at sunset, Greenville’s Liberty Bridge, the rolling farmland of Prince Edward Island and Niagara Falls seen from above.
